Easter and Other events

It has been a while since I've posted any of our going ons, and since I don't really feel like typing a lot right now I'm just going to sum them up real fast and move on to Easter.
I met my first woodchuck/groundhog. He was really angry and wouldn't leave our yard. It was kind of odd considering the fact we're not supposed to have woodchucks in our area.
There have been some really bad thunderstorms, and we had huge hail. Businesses are now putting up signs that say things like "Got hail? We'll give a free house inspection!". I find them to be oddly humorous for some reason.
Jaclyn, Daniel and the boys came and spent the weekend with us. Caleb and Jack built a pulley and wanted to pull themselves up in it. It of course didn't work, much to their disappointment. Sam wanted to hatch one of the eggs we dyed, and was also disappointed that it wouldn't work.
I went to the organic marketplace, and ate at the amazing restaurant there. I then needle-felted a mushroom, and decided that I'm the hippy/country member of the family. Yep, that pretty much sums the last two weeks or so.
The pictures are taking forever to load today, so I'll post the rest later this week.

Meet Jonas Michael

I am very excited to announce that Jonas made his entrance last night at around 10:00. We went up to the hospital to meet him this morning, and he is so cute and sweet. He is very snuggly, and we all could spend forever just looking at him. Since yesterday was rather stressful for him, he spent the duration of our visit catching up on his rest. Hopefully Jason and Jennifer will get some sleep too.

Spring Came Early

Last week the weather was absolutely beautiful, with temperatures close to the eighties. Our tulips became a little too eager to make their entrance, and some them went ahead and bloomed. Tulips are my favorite flowers, they are so simple and pretty. A random little fact, they also come in all colors except blue. You may now go win a trivia contest with that. :)
Of course the weather has reverted back to normal, with temperatures down in the forties and rain. The poor tulips look kind of sad, tightly closed up against the rain and chill.

Double Digits

Thanks to Laura, I now have ten followers!!! Call it weird, but having nine followers had been really bugging me for a while. I like even numbers, they look nice. I feel like I should celebrate in some way; send ya'll thank you cards, throw an awesome online party, or something.

Yes, I know its been a while since I lasted posted, but nothing really exciting has happened in our neck of the woods lately. Unless taking the SAT counts. It really wasn't as hard as I expected, but I'm not sure if that's a good sign. Those were seriously probably four of the longest hours of my life. Well, actually over four hours. Apparently someone got in trouble, and while the teachers were dealing with him we spent twenty minutes (I timed it) staring out the window in absolute silence. We were facing the dumpster, so we got to watch the crows eat out of it. Fun. That was the biggest room of zoned out people I have ever seen.

We gave Jennifer a baby shower this weekend, and it went well. She got some really nice gifts. She has ended up having a lot of showers, eight in all! That's a lot of cake and punch. We'll hopefully meet Jonas in three weeks! It's hard to believe!

Random Ramblings

I've been looking at my posts, and have come to the realization that my blog is kind of boring. Thank you to all the people who actually read it. I don't ever really talk about myself or what's going on in my life. I'm a private person, and it can be hard for me to open up. I'll give it a shot, though.
Lately I've been working on expanding my fairy garden. A fairy garden is pretty much just a miniature garden for those of you who don't know. I'm putting a fence around it, which I'm really excited about. The posts are up, so I just need to build the sides. I can't wait to start setting my plans into action!
I'm looking at selling some of out produce this year. We've been talking about it, and I really hope that it will work out. I have talked about it for years, so it would be a dream come true. What can I say, I shoot high. :)
I can't believe that I graduate next year! When I was younger I thought about graduating, but it didn't seem like it would ever happen. It's exciting, but nerve wracking at the same time. I'm ready to 'fly', as some people put it, but sometimes I wish life would stay the way it is right now.

On the other hand, I can't wait to see what plans God has in store for me, see what He has been preparing me for. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to have a farm. I always thought farmers' wives were so fortunate. I didn't think I could do it, though. I mean, none of the other girls I talked to wanted to be a farmer's wife. Then one day it hit me. Why can't I? After praying about it, I knew that this was God's will for my life. I know farming is not easy, but I can't think of another life that I would want. As my dad once said, "Farming is a hard life, but a good life."
