I've been looking at my posts, and have come to the realization that my blog is kind of boring. Thank you to all the people who actually read it. I don't ever really talk about myself or what's going on in my life. I'm a private person, and it can be hard for me to open up. I'll give it a shot, though.
Lately I've been working on expanding my fairy garden. A fairy garden is pretty much just a miniature garden for those of you who don't know. I'm putting a fence around it, which I'm really excited about. The posts are up, so I just need to build the sides. I can't wait to start setting my plans into action!
I'm looking at selling some of out produce this year. We've been talking about it, and I really hope that it will work out. I have talked about it for years, so it would be a dream come true. What can I say, I shoot high. :)
I can't believe that I graduate next year! When I was younger I thought about graduating, but it didn't seem like it would ever happen. It's exciting, but nerve wracking at the same time. I'm ready to 'fly', as some people put it, but sometimes I wish life would stay the way it is right now.
On the other hand, I can't wait to see what plans God has in store for me, see what He has been preparing me for. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to have a farm. I always thought farmers' wives were so fortunate. I didn't think I could do it, though. I mean, none of the other girls I talked to wanted to be a farmer's wife. Then one day it hit me. Why can't I? After praying about it, I knew that this was God's will for my life. I know farming is not easy, but I can't think of another life that I would want. As my dad once said, "Farming is a hard life, but a good life."
You certainly should have farming in your genes, but not from my side of the family. I'm a farmer in theory only. I enjoy seeing the beautiful garden grow and eating the fresh produce, but I don't want to be out in the hot field getting sweaty and dirty. You can take care of that part for me! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm all about buying from local farms. I only buy our milk from local dairies and this spring I want to find a farm to get my meat from. I better get a family discount from your farm though..
